ENERGY PRODUCTION AND NUTRIENT RECOVERY – Op de Beeck NV
In a circular economy it is extremely important that essential natural resources are no longer lost, but are being recovered.
This closed nutrient cycle is also one of the objectives of Op de Beeck NV for the end processing of organic by-products
and residues that can no longer be used for any other purposes.
DRYING PROCESS
After the digestion process the material that was not converted into biogas, i.e. the digestate, is split into a liquid and a solid fraction.
The solid fraction is guided towards a fluidized bed dryer. During this process, monitored 24 hours a day and fed fully automatically, more than 70% of the water content is evaporated. To this effect only heat is used that is produced by its own biogas motors. The result is a dry, 100% organic product that can be traded as a soil improver, whether or not combined with organic fertilizers.
In addition, this fluidized bed dryer allows the drying of other (organic) wastes as well.
Do you want to learn more about the way Op de Beeck NV uses organic wastes
to generate green energy and recovers 100% of the nutrient content, 24 hours a day?
Or does your company have some specific industrial, organic waste waters for which a processing solution
is to be found? Please feel free to contact our person in charge Ben Leroy.
