Unpacked products can be delivered in containers, trailers (walking floor, tipper trailer or tanker), but also in IBCs (cubitainers), plastic or metal drums or in pallet boxes.

Biogas Solutions has a very large storage space at the Kallo site, used both for solid and liquid bulk flows and for packed and unpacked materials, so that also for really large loads (500 tonnes plus) that need to be evacuated within a very short term, flexible solutions can be provided.

With respect to packed wastes, a distinction is made between products with a soft packing (plastic, cardboard, tetra) and products in glass or cans.

Based on many years of experience, Biogas Solutions recently invested in a fully automatic unpacking line allowing for an even more efficient separation between organic fraction on the one hand and packing materials on the other hand. The organic fraction then is further processed into energy mixes for anaerobic digestion. During the separation process, our goal always is to reduce residual waste to a minimum and to maximize caloric value.

After being separated from their plastic or cardboard packaging, the glass containers and cans are processed in separate processing lines. Cans are compressed under very high pressure and glass is shredded so as to separate contents from the packaging. After being cleaned, the glass containers and cans will be completely recycled.
